Historic Apartments Renovation
Before & After of the Building at 123 N. 4th St. in Quincy.
Previously, this building featured a main level commercial space along with upper levels being used as a large, open showroom area. We wanted to renovate and keep the ground floor as a commercial space. For the two upper levels we build modern apartments with great views of Washington Park and the river behind the building. The interior of the building was updated and modernized. On the exterior, we removed the facade to reveal the original, detailed stone work on the building.
Removing the facade was a large undertaking. It was heavy and had to be removed in sections. It was well-worth it thought to restore the building to its original appearance and ornamental detail. We believe in preserving the historical value and elements of the buildings we work it, while also making sure they last long into the future.
